Body-Base routine #1

So, here we go! The first Body-Base routine I am sharing with you today!

I have been training the body for almost 2 decades and I have tried and tested many technique and styles of fitness. I have enjoyed and loved them all and have appreciated each individual benefit that they have brought to my body & health......BUT I feel the time has come that I want to create my own unique style of training which I have started and sharing with you right here. I have combined all my favourites which have benefited me the most of the years and these are;

  • yoga

  • pilates

  • stretch

  • dance

  • body condition

  • body weight training

These routines are not very long BUT can be easily incorporated into ANY form of sport or training.....may it be dancing, cycling, weight training or swimming. It's all about using the body in a dynamic way and addressing ALL the elements of fitness to get the body to its optimal level of well-being. These elements are;

  • strength

  • flexibility

  • balance

  • endurance

  • dedication

  • patience

  • and stillness

You will probably notice by these elements that I am really passionate about approach health and well-being in a holistic way. So having said that, my method to training now is about becoming in touch with the body on a much deeper level than just the physical. It's about knowing when to push forward to bring benefits and knowing when to stop to prevent harm. It's about learning to feel and listen to what your body is saying and to work in harmony with that.

I give little tips through the videos but please make sure you watch carefully what I do and approach each routine (or flow as I like to call it sometimes) at your own fitness level. Just because I recommend 4-6 cycles doesn't mean you HAVE to do it as well. The stronger/fitter and more flexible you become, you will see you will be able to hold it for longer and longer.

QUALITY OVER QUANTITY ALWAYS! You can do 10 of these flows incorrectly and feel nothing OR you can do 3 and feel EVERYTHING (trust me, I was soooooooo stiff after filming this video)! The more you practise the better you'll become so don't feel despondent if you can't balance or touch your toes in the first few flows......give it time, nothing great happens overnight ;) ;)
